How a CPAP Machine 100% Prevents Apneas
13/10/2021You feel like your sleep apnea is never going to get better.
You try to make do with a few disturbed hours of sleep that leave you dragging through the day.
You are driving your loved ones absolutely crazy with your snoring.
All this may make you feel like you’re all out of options. But you aren’t.
There’s something you can do about your snoring and fatigue. Actually, it’s something you can wear.
Sick of Sleep Apnea?
Sleep apnea is a type of sleep disorder in which breathing stops temporarily during sleep.
This occurs when the muscles in the upper airway relax and do not keep the passageway open.
If you are one of the more than 18 million American adults, according to the National Sleep Foundation, who are affected by sleep apnea, then disrupted sleep is just a fact of life for you.
The Bad Part
Sleep apnea can lead to a number of health issues:
heart and kidney disease
high blood pressure
diabetes
stroke
obesity
You don’t want to bother with all of those conditions, though. You’d rather just get a good night’s sleep.

Meet Your Machine
A CPAP machine is considered the leading therapy for sleep apnea by organizations like the National Sleep Foundation, and it’s often prescribed by medical professionals.
A CPAP machine (or a continuous positive airway pressure machine) is made up of a motor, a hose and a face or nasal mask.
The pump pushes a steady flow of air into the nasal mask, which keeps the upper airway passages open.
How It Works
The CPAP motor is like a small compressor. Room temperature air is drawn in through a filter and pressurized to the correct level.
(Some machines even include a water tank that humidifies your air as well!)
The pressurized air travels through the hose and into the mask placed over the whole face or just the nose.
A CPAP machine can help you sleep through the night with less disrupted sleep and snore less.
But most importantly, with the air pressure keeping your nose and throat open all night, you won’t wake up snorting and choking anymore.
You’ll finally be able to breathe all night. And you’ll finally be able to sleep all night.
How to Adjust
Getting used to sleeping in a mask can seem impossible. But give yourself time!
Work with your doctor to find the correct model. Adjusts the straps and find the best mask for you.
Plus, there are all kinds of ways to personalize and accessorize your CPAP machine:
- finding a great pillow
- getting a travel case
- stocking up on power adapters for portability
- using nasal pads to prevent skin discomfort
- buying custom headgear
Time to Give It a Try
You’re so tired of being tired. And your loved one is tired too--tired of you keeping them up all night with your snoring.
That can only mean one thing: it’s time to give a CPAP machine a try.
Talk to your doctor today about getting the right machine for you and start breathing easier.
